Kennedy, Jr. (LLM ‘87), former Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic, has been confirmed as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. As the first Haub Law faculty and alumni appointed to their respective Senate-confirmed leadership positions in the executive branch of the U.S. government, the confirmations of Secretary Kennedy and Mr. Patel mark a milestone in the Law School’s history.

“We wish Secretary Kennedy and Mr. Patel success in their respective missions to protect the health and safety of the American people,” said Horace E.
